My Landscape Paintings

This painting was inspired by a secret corner of Warwick Castle that opens onto the River Avon. This acrylic on canvas board was an experiment in creating reflections.

Travels in Cornwall inspired this acrylic landscape painting on canvas board of St Ives Harbor. I tried to capture rolling, lapping waves against the shore and the cloudy skies were formed using a piece of sponge. I push the paint and blend together into the blue of sky before adding highlights to the tops of the clouds to create depth.

A walk one day took me past a field of cows behind the iconic historical Wymondham Abbey in Norfolk. I was inspired to capture the sunlight reflecting on the Abbey and through the golden fields. I hope that when you look at this painting you can hear the chirp of grasshoppers, the cows chewing tufts of grass and feel the gentle breeze rustling through the trees as I did that day.
